Default Metabolic typing test

I was reading another thread about metabolic typing, and I found this test for it from another board. I don't know how accurate it is, if at all, or if metabolic typing really means anything, but it's fun none the less .
By the way, I think you should take the test baring in mind how you felt BEFORE LC, since they had a "typical diet" in mind when they made them.

My results
43 protein type
10 mixed type
8 carb type

Clearly they consider me a protein type whatever that means. I never much cared for desserts, always was hungry, craved meat and heavy fatty food, and savory-salty/crunchy snacks were most appetizing. Although on the physical/social questions I most leaned towards mixed, or carb type. But on the food oriented questions i was protein all the way. I guess there isn't an absolute relationship between metabolic preference and other traits, huh.

Thanks for posting that link... that's very interesting. My results:
23 Carbo
5 Mixed
26 Protein
which I guess makes me a mixed type. What does it mean, though? I do well when I have no grains or potatoes but carbs like beans and some fruit in moderation with a heavy emphasis on protein/fat. I found the dessert question funny, also - I only like fatty desserts like cheesecake, ice cream and creme brulee and can leave the pies, cakes and cookies alone.

Hmmm...

13 carb type
24 mixed type
21 protein type

Which makes me a mixed type in theory. In practice, however, eating a mixed diet does not work well for me, especially if it's too heavy in the wrong types of carbs and I do much better on the protein type.

Hmmmm ... I'm also
12 carb type
24 mixed type
21 protein type
LOL! Lisa, now I wonder which of the questions you eliminated if they were the same ones I did too

So I'm mixed type leaning toward protein type. This bears out my current experience where I'm having better weight loss success and feeling better health- and mood-wise by bumping up my protein a bit and eating more carbs in the form of non-starchy vegetables and a little low-glycemic fruit. Definitely not grains and starches though .. those foods make me feel sluggish, foggy-headed and wild with cravings.

Then there's the "blood type" metabolic theory, which suggests I should be a grain-eating vegetarian, since I'm Type A.

Think I'll stick to what's making me feel right, and that's meat and veggies
