I am not sure exactly what starvation mode is or if it's even real. But I have a question. Because I skip breakfast does my body go into starvation mode?

Starvation mode is when you cut calorie consumption too drastically. Judging by your stats i would say you need about 1500 a day to just survive.

I always find that if I eat something for breakfast, even just a little something, that I will do better at my next meal. If I go too long and get too hungry then I have a tendancy to make poor choices because I want to eat whatever is available.

When I was working on losing my weight I found that I
had more success when I had three healthy meals a day. These days I rarely miss breakfast, but when I do I notice that I start getting really hungry before lunch, and I don't like that.

Everyone is different. I know some people are not breakfast eaters at all. You will have to test the waters and see what works for you.

I will tell you one thing though....... I lost weight better while eating MORE. I don't care what the experts say. I know my own experience to be true. I ate the right kinds of foods, the right kinds of Carbs for my body and I lost 52 pounds.

Best wishes,
Libby

I don't eat breakfast or lunch but I eat my dinner at 3 p.m. everyday and then have a meal the next day at 3pm, etc. I am still losing weight rapidly and my body isn't in starvation mode. I'm not even hungry during breakfast and lunch.\

edit: I did accomplish this by... starving myself for 2 days straight causing my oversized stomach to shrink down, therefore I wasn't as hungry as I used to be. Most say don't starve yourself, but hey it worked for me. I used to starve myself for 4 days straight to rid myself of excess muscle I didn't want. (gotta keep my thin model build)

Hi Amy

Sometimes I just grab a quick breakfast like string cheese and salami, but I do tend to always eat breakfast and then lunch. I know some of the other CADers eat one CM maybe they could tell you about their experience. I think my body wants the 3 meals a day
