Default Calcium loss from dieting with Atkins

I'm going to get jumped about this, but here goes...

I know, for a fact, that I lose too much calcium on LC dieting because I sleep on a waterbed. When I take my calcium supplement, my back doesn't hurt. When I forget to take the supplement, my back does hurt. Very simple.

So, why does everyone insist that the LC WOL doesn't require more calcium? Or, have I misunderstood?

I'm not sure where the idea that we don't need calcium supplements when we LC (or follow any other WOE) comes from, but here is some information on calcium and LCing that should shed some light.

Calcium

Calcium is one of the supplements that we recommend everyone following a LC WOL use.

Any time I sleep on a water bed my back hurts. I suppose waterbeds might be an individual thing?

Thank you, Natrushka. I must have misunderstood before.

Waterbeds are DEFINITELY an individual thing! But, so is everything.
