Default Dieter's Advantage supplement question

Hi. In another thread I was asking about low calorie intake and not loosing. It wasn't a big deal...I had just gone about 3 days without loosing, but wondered if raising my calories might help with weight loss...

ANYWAY....I started taking the Atkins Dieter's Advantage supplements last week and lost about a lb. a day. As it turns out the three days I didn't loose this week I had forgotten to take my vitamins (I also take a multivitamin and calcium/magnesium) the previous day. Yesterday I remembered to take my vitamins and this morning I was down TWO lbs.!!!

So my question is....does this supplement really help THAT much? I have lost 50 lbs. and only 7 of that has been while I've been taking this supplement...but it seems like more than a coincidence....or at least like it could be more than a coincidence. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm concerned about it because my mom sent me this bottle. There's no way I can afford to buy it for myself and continue taking it once this bottle is gone. I'm worried that my body might get used to it and then resist weight loss once I quit taking it.

What do you think?

I took Dieter's Advantage for nearly a year. Did I lose the weight because of DA? I don't know for certain. I stopped taking it several months ago and have not noticed any appreciable difference. I have started and stopped several supplements during my LC journy. Several I have restarted, but I have no plans on restarting DA. It's too expensive for one, and since I am closer to goal I don't think it will really help me get there.

Good Luck and great job so far!!

I bought DA but never took them. If I'm thinking of the right thing, when I read the lit, it said to take before meals to help supress the appetite. Is this the DA???

Anyhoo, I decided not to take it as I eat many small meals throughout the day - I'm seriously ALWAYS eating but I have to do it that way since I really don't have an appetite and can't eat much at one setting.

I've been using Centrum several times a day, supplimented with chromium picolinate, l-carnitine, magnesium / potasium / calcium, fish oil & vit E. I have noticed that I'm loosing now.

However, I also cut out Splenda unless it's liquid & severely reduced my alcohol consumption - so I'm not real sure what the key is. Maybe it's a bit of everything.
