Post WOE and other acronyms

I thought it might be a good idea to define some of the acronyms. I know I'm lost on a few (such as WOE- what is it?).

Here are a few that may help other newbies:

OWL: Ongoing weight loss
SF: sugar-free
--

If you can post the meanings of some other acronyms used on this board, that would be helpful. Thanks!

Thanks! I guess "way of eating" is used instead of "diet".

Yes, since people tend to think of a diet as something you go on and can go right back off again, it isn't a train. So the term WOE is used since lifelong weightloss requires a complete change in your way of eating. However, I still say diet since a diet is really defined as a way of eating, although we as people have changed its meaning throughout the years. Good luck and welcome. There is already a thread that explains a lot of the acronyms. Go to this thread and you will find lots http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...ghlight=acronym
