Default Any fatty low-carb snack ideas?

I'm tempted to eat bacon all day but I'm pretty sure that would gross out my co-workers. They already think it's weird that I'm doing Atkins! I've been eating string cheese but I'm getting really tired of it. And I'm so used to being on low fat diets that I'm still tempted to just grab a bag of baby carrots and eat the whole thing.

I'm still in Induction so I know nuts are a no-no. DAMN! I'm a buyer for a specialty food importer so I'm surrounded by nuts and chocolates right now. Actually, there are 3 tubs of Nutella sitting in front of me right now! I will not give in, I will not give in.

Anyone have any advice??

Deviled eggs (add bacon, what the heck?), celery sticks with cream cheese (I sometimes add a few sliced green olives as well), pepperoni slices with cream cheese on top...why the possibilities are endless! Check out the snacks posts in the recipe section.

Good luck!

cream cheese and pork rinds are good. cook up bacon till its crisp and take that in a little sandwich baggie. LC salad is allowed during induction. I like a cup of romaine, 1oz cheese, 6 olives, 1/2 tomato and some vin&oil over the top. Even some of those baco's toppings are ok in moderation. Toss in some tuna or chicken for protein.

you really can eat more than you think durin induction. don't forget to drink lots of water too.

Good luck

Hello! Well right now I'm indulging on some scrumptious chocolate spread... It is called Sugar Free Twist Chocolate Spread... I got it in a Longs drugs store, and for 2 tablespoons, you get 2.2g carbs.. pretty good deal I think! It is delicious, and tasts like brownie mix...yum!

I rely on three recipes for high-fat snacks:I can't post the recipe for Heroin Wings, as it is from Dana Carpender's book, "500 Low-Carb Recipes", so reprinting it would infringe on the author's copyright. I can say, however, that the book is great, and that the recipe is easy to make, very tasty, and quite satisfying.

Talking thanks for the pemmican recipe

Lunch and snacks are getting quite boring, I always seem to eat one type of thing in a day, I am going to try that with dried blueberries I assume equal amounts.

thank you again
Diane
