Question Ok to take calcium ~ same time as potassium?

Hi all,

Today marks day 8 for me and so far I've lost 4 lbs! I am wondering if it's ok to take my calcium supplement at the same time as potassium or if one will impede absorption of another. Since I am on induction I am aiming for 500 mg of potassium...can I take it all at once or should I spread it out? I have 90mg pills. This is what my supplements look like:

W/breakfast: Essential oils, 180mg potassium

lunch: multi-vitamin, 90mg potassium (vitamin also has 90)

Dinner: calcium, 180mg potassium

before bed: magnesium

Am I missing anything? Feels strange taking so many pills!

Hi Cindy,

Taking them together is fine.

Spreading out the potassium is best - as you are doing. And you are very wise to take your potassium with meals - it can irritate the stomach otherwise.

Happy low carbing!
