Default Very Yumm Dinner

I had a great dinner the other night I just had to share.

I took and sauteed about 2 tsp fresh ginger in some oil. Then I added 1 tbsp lite soy sauce and 4oz chicken cut into strips. I cooked that until the chicken wasn't pink. I then added about 1 cup fresh snow peas. I cooked until tender crisp (covered) then placed the whole thing on a whole wheat tortilla. It was amazingly good. I got the idea from the slim fast web site, but it works perfect for South Beach

I'll be sure to try this once I'm in Phase 2. It does sound quite yummy.

Thanks for the suggestion. I love ginger in dishes but I've been a little scared to make them myself after a bad experience with the powdered ginger. I guess I need to try it with fresh stuff!

Meadow - I bought a ginger root and just keep it in the freezer. I grate off what I need and I don't have the problem with molding since I don't use it daily. Someone else recomended to me the way to keep ginger root fresh was to bury it in soil.

Sage - If you turn this into a stir fry and omit the tortilla, I think it would be fine for phase 1.

Meadow: Nothing beats fresh ginger. It's awesome, so give it a try!

Ladybelle: Ooh, thanks for the ginger tip; mine always goes bad before I can use it all. I'll try putting it in the freezer. Gosh that seems like a no brainer, doesn't it?
