Default a tad discouraged

Hi to all,
I am a tad discouraged today, but in no way am I ready to leave this woe or wol!
I have been doing atkins for about 6 weeks now and have been quite successful. Lost down to 175 from 192...then had a cheat, yes, it was a cheat and I knew I was being bad when I did it. I had pizza (3 slices, crust and all) last Tuesday. I also had my TOM last week. I didn't see any gain last week though, but this morning I am up to 178 and discouraged. I am consuming my water, much more than normal (which is none). I get in atleast 64 oz a day. I have been doing this for two weeks now. I haven't changed anything else. I am wondering if this gain is from the cheat? Any advice or encouragement is so welcome.

Stalls and little gains like this are very normal. Look at the long-term — you've lost 14 pounds! Stick with it and don't get discouraged when things like this happen. Everyone goes through it!

You're doing really well so far, here's my 2 cents - stay away from those scales for 2 weeks, going 2 pounds up or down in a day is nothing to worry about and happens to us all, as long as your overall trend is DOWN then don't worry and don't stress over what those evil scales say!

Don't give up...this is a journey, there are ups and downs, and 178 is still way down from 192! Congrats on the weight loss. I also had a cheat on pizza right at the end of induction, went up 4 lbs the next day, and then down 2, and stayed there for a whole week. Just this morning it dropped back down, but from where I was before the cheat I'm still half a pound heavier.

From what I hear it is water weight and glycogen back in your liver that you gain back after a cheat.

Drinking as much water as you can is good...some people drink closer to 100oz a day.

Just be patient, it may take a few more days to drop off...exercise is a good thing, I think it finally helped me drop a little after staying there all week (I missed my usual workouts all week).

This WOE is great, and it *will* work, it just requires patience and determination and the ability to forgive yourself if you mess up. I haven't lost nearly as much as I'd hoped, but I've lost more than I've ever lost in 3 weeks on any other diet. It's been much easier to stick to, as well.

Keep hanging out on these forums, too, they've been invaluable for me. ^_^
