Default Dr Atkins Basic #3 - Serving Size

In DANDR, he gives the formula for Basic #3. You are supposed to take 3 tablets a day. I *think* the Amount per Serving quantities he lists (pg 303-304 of the large pocketbook version) are for a daily serving (i.e. all 3 tablets). Can anyone confirm this for me? I'm trying to find a local multivitamin without iron that is similar.. Thanks!

I'm looking at page 307 of the 2002 edition (red cover) of DANDR

It says: Basic #3 Formula - 3 times a day
(So I guess he means take one tablet at 3 times during the day.)
1 tablet = 1 serving
So you'd be looking for a multivitamin or other supplements to equal the totals in 3 tablets for every day.

Hmmm after checking on the Atkins site, I definitely understood that 3 tablets = 1 serving. and the Amount per Serving that he gives in the book is for 3 tablets. I could be wrong, though.

I compared the ingredients to a one-a-day multivitamin I bought here in Vancouver and if we have to multiply Atkins' values by 3 to get the daily totals... they are WAY more than this one-a-day.

I take the Atkins Basic #3, and without a doubt the serving size=3pills, not 1 pill. The bottle even confirms 3 pills=1serving, so I hope this clears things up for you. I know Atkins is rather expensive, but on E-Bay I've found it very cheap a couple of times. It's been easier for me to take his brand, and not have to calculate how many other vitamins to take to equal the prescribed amounts, but if I hadn't found it so cheap I'd definitely go your route. Perhaps if you take 3 pills of another multi-vitamin it will be equal to the Atkins Basic formula. Let me know how you make out with an equivalent. Good luck.
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne

Just checked my bottle of #3. Directions are "take three tablets per day with meals. So whether you take one per meal or all at once, it's three a day.
