I use shakes on induction
I think it depends on you. Some people can use lc products like this on induction and for some it causes problems. I did not use shakes on my initial induction. But my copy of the Atkins book ~ 1999 says:
"Using a carbohydrate gram counter, one could find other combinations totaling less than 20 gms of carbohydrate. One would be using foods like nuts, seeds, olives, avocados, cheeses, cream and sour cream, lemon and lime juices, and Atkins low-carbohydrate diet foods such as the SHAKE MIX, bake mix, and advantage bars...."
I think the most important thing is to make sure you stay under 20 gms carbs per day and make sure you stick with healthy foods. If you try the shakes and don't experience much weight loss, then stop using them. On the other hand two weeks is not very long to forgo ANYTHING. If you do that then you cleanse your system completely - which is one of the reasons for induction - and when you add things back in - like the shakes - if you have trouble then you'll know what it is.
