Default Anybody have problems with aching joints

Hi I'm new to LC about ten days in and I have lost weight but am having terrible pain in my knees.

I have heard that the diet can cause high uric acid

I was on medication for high uric acid before I started this diet but it seems to have gotten worse.

Do I ask my doctor for a higher dose?

Anybody else know anything about this?

Sandy

I would ask my doctor.

Meanwhile I would look into another Low Cab diet that might be gentler on your illness.
You do not have to go the Atkin way.
Look at the forum there is many more choices .Southbeach…. DR Bernstein ….etc

Or, you can move on to one of the phases that have higher carbs. I have not read the South Beach Diet but I have heard that it is pretty much identical to the Maintenance phase on Atkins. I agree, that you do not have to go full Atkins but you may as well understand the full scope of the diet since that is the one you began with.
