Default BBQ Sauce

Hi, I just started a few days ago on Atkins and am wondering about BBQ sauce. I'm pretty sure ( make that almost positive) that the stuff in my fridge won't cut it and was wondering if anyone had any alternative recipes for someone still doing Induction.

Thanks
Al

mustard. sugar free ketchup. hot sauce.

My boyfriend loved BBQ sauce as well, and any variations he tried to do himself just left him disappointed. He decided he would rather do without.

As far as for grilling with, he started using dry rubs on ribs and other meats to make up for the sauce he can longer put on his beloved ribs.

I will try to get a recipe from him. (he is still a bit bitter about the whole thing)

How about this? I am not on Atkins so I don't think this sauce could be used in the induction phase. There has to be recipes and mock bbq sauces out there

The Atkins BBQ sauce is OK. There are some other brands as well, the KEto is sweeter than Atkins.

Try the Thai chicken marinade from Karen's recipes (on this site). It sounds crazy with the fish sauce and all, but let the breasts marinate overnight in a ziploc and they taste AWESOME, just like BBQ except better.

We've grown to love various Jamaican jerk spices, usually in a dry rub or a vinegar-based sauce. Recipes abound.

Losing BBQ "sauce" (I call it tomato syrup now lol) was, in hindsight, a great experience because now I'm finding lots of other stuff I like so much better.

I wonder if there are recipes out there to make your own BBQ sauce....I was camping this weekend for the first time since doing atkins and the only BBQ sauce we had was filled with TEN CARBS per serving...guess the bottled stuff has a lot of sugar!
