Default Womanly Cramps Question for Women

Has anyone else noticed they get cramps? I have always had severe cramps but since LCing they happen alot more often. I can't say not during my TOM because I spot everyday (litteraly) since LCing but it's like a length of 4 days usually in the morning and about 2-3 times a month. I haven't related any type of food or stress to it yet but have been trying to think of things.

You spot all the time?

I would suggest you go see a doctor. It's not normal.

When I went in to get my Depo shot last, oh yeah guess I forgot to mention Depo Prevera, I spoke to the nurse. She said that spotting is normal with any change in diet and will eventually go away. Still waiting.

Yes, a lot of us have menstrual changes with weight loss. Fat cells store estrogen and losing fat releases it into the bloodstream. It usually stabilizes after a few months.

Personally, I spotted constantly on Depo and it never stopped. I also gained 25 lbs. and felt like I had constant PMS. ( I took 2 shots (6 months) and then quit) Since the pill increased my blood pressure and depo was a nightmare, I decided hormonal birth control wasn't for me and got an IUD. No problems and no worries 4 years later.

I've been on Depo for five years it will be 6 in 2004. I haven't had any weight issues from it or mood issues so it's actually just right for me I think.

I don't know if the cramps are from food or not but they have nothing to do with BMs or even the time of spotting. They are usually in the morning when I'm sitting at my desk, after a shower, vitamins, and breakfast.

I am on Depo and spot a whole lot around the time of my shot. Like between the week before and a couple weeks after.

I haven't experienced cramps though!

I've never been one to have much cramping, and thank heaven that hasn't changed.

I'm at the tail end of my first TOM since starting Atkins, and I have to say it's been a doozy! The PMS has been the worst ever. My cravings last week were awful. Thank heaven I didn't cheat, because I think if I had I would have gone off the deep end! I've also dropped 2 lbs., but I don't know if that's because of the TOM or because I've also been sick. I'm hoping it's because of TOM because then it will probably be a monthly bonus!

I'm peri-menapausel and i get the cramps from hell every other month. I don't think this WOE has had any affect or changes in my menstrual cycle.

I'm really pleased for all of you who haven't had any problem with the Depo as i believe is a very convenient form of BC. I've just gone off it after almost 3 years as losing weight for me got from almost impossible to very difficult. When i did the fat fast last month, i had 2 TOM fro 7 days each time. But now that i have an IUD- Mirena (for 6 days), i've been having bad cramps which i never use to.

My cramps are much better (and sometimes even non-existent) after I started low carbing.
