Default Is all Chewing Gum Equal?

I know there have been several threads on chewing gum, but I was wondering if all gum is pretty much equal in carbs or if certain brands are lower than others. I have been chewing a few sticks of gum a day on this diet, and it doesn't seem to affect me but I want to have an idea of how many carbs I consume a day. As you know, there's no nutrition information on most packs of gum, so could anyone enlighten me? Thanks a bunch!

I don't know about all gum, but I always used to chew Extra, which has 2 carbs per/piece. I gave it up but I had to have something, since the ketone breath was making me gag and probably everyone else, too!!!!!!!! I got this gum from Atkinscenter online, it's sweetened with xylitol and has 1.6 carb, but it's all sugar alcohol so it's really actually 0 effective carb. BUT, take a gas-x capsule with it, if you're sensitve to sugar alcohol!

I've just bought a packet of Wrigley's Orbit sugar free gum. IOt contains 10 'pellets' of gum. Its total weight is 14g so each pellet weights 1.4g. If we guess than about half of this is indigestable gum and half suger alcohols then that means each piece has point 7 grammes of carbs. As this all polyols I think it is hardly worth worrying about.

dentyne sugar-free (I know the cinnamon flavour for a fact, but assume the other sugar-free flavours would be the same) is sweetened with Splenda. Fuzzy on the carb count, have to recheck it.

Wink 0 carb gum

I finally found gum that has o carbs. It is Artic Mint CLORETS. It begins by say that it is for carbohydrate reduced diets. 3 cal.0 fat, 0 sugar , 0 carbs. It does contain aspartame though.
Hope this helps.

Most gums, wether sugared or sugar-free seem to have about 2 grams per piece.
I use gum as a crutch a LOT...makes it easier to resist other things. I just add the carb count to my daily count. Shh..Don't tell Dr A.

I chew Trident White and it is 1 carb per piece. If you read the back they say a serving is 2 pieces and the carb count is 2. I only chew 1 piece at a time for 1 carb!

Most of the SF gums I have found are 1 carb - haven't been lucky enough to find one here made with splenda.
