Unhappy My Cooking Sucks!

I need your help. I started the Atkins WOE and have been doing very well for 3 weeks; however, I'm the worst cook imaginable. I try the recipes here and I just can't seem to get it right. Does anybody know of any websites that are good at teaching about cooking???

Hi,
There is a magazine called Cooks Illustrated that discusses techniques as well as some of the science of cooking. They do have a website that is partically accessable without a fee - they charge $3.95/month I think. I suggest you go to a library to check out several back issues.

I find it very interesting, educational and sometimes funny, they discuss recipe variations like a rocket scientist discusses changes in rocket fuel formulas!

Be patient, be organized and give yourself enough time. Prepare and measure all ingredients before you start mixing or cooking. Read the recipes a few times through as well. If you have the desire you will succeed!

Good luck!
