Good. I hope it goes through. this is the guy who thinks that "doing Atkins" includes eating cheesecake at least 3 times per week. And NO mention of Splenda. Idiot!

Its also pretty clear from reading that he wasnt eating the Atkins Cheesecake.

Quote:
“large amounts of pastrami and cheesecake, because the Atkins diet allows unlimited pastrami and Atkins, Inc. sells a cheesecake that is ‘Atkins friendly.’”

Thats his quote but then when you read down he says that he only spent like $25 on Atkins products. He certainly didnt buy any Atkins cheesecake or not more than once if he did.

This is totally stupid that Atkins even has to go through this with the idiot.

In an interview on Dateline, he clearly stated that he ate regular cheescake, "three times a week". Chances are, if he admits to doing it 3 times a week, it may be more.

But nevertheless, it will be hard to argue that stuffing himself with sugar and refined carbs is part of the Atkins life style.

Well, the statement that he was on it for 2+yrs "trying" to loose 8 pounds should prove he didn't follow the plan correctly!

If he said he'd lost the 8 and tried to maintain over 2yrs, that would be a whole different arguement.

Has anyone ever seen what his current weight, or his weight at the time of stopping the diet, was?

I believe his weight was 148 pounds when he began and his goal weight (which he achieved, although it's not known how long it took him) was 140 pounds.
Unless he is an unusually short man or has a very small build, I'd say he wasn't terribly overweight to begin with. My father is 5' 10" tall and looks like a walking skeleton at 140 pounds or less. He recently dropped to 135 pounds after a hospitalization for diverticulitis. Very scary.
