A new 9 minute video explanation how to use Hava to Lose Weight and improve metabolic health posted today, Master your Appetite:
https://youtu.be/FLdjqe8PxYE?si=Tbc9pB6hTtBUjTC-

If you have not had any weight loss progress in the last few years, with VLC, carnivore, fasting or whatever, the Satiety PER CALORIE approach is a healthy method to try on a free trial. You still eat the diet/foods you like, an approach similar to The PE Diet and Optimising Nutrition, but easier with a Photo Tracker and one Satiety number.

"You can't manage what you can't measure." - Tom DeMarco

Within your preferred diet's food list, low satiety foods like salami, cheese, nuts, sausage, pork rinds, HWC etc are reduced/replaced with higher satiety per Calorie foods, like beef, seafood, green vegetables, poultry, NF Yogurt, cottage cheese, all managed with one number.

HAVA is in process of adding Fast Food restaurants, an example from Twitter.
Quote:
What are the best and the worst Chick-fil-A foods for weight loss and metabolic health?

According to an investigation, US people who log what they eat have four favorite restaurant chains: Starbucks, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Chipotle.

I've covered the two first earlier (links below). Chipotle is coming up soon. Now, let's check out Chick-fil-A.

We simplify the complexity of nutrition using the ~JoinHava satiety scoring. It ranks foods from 0-100 based on their protein percentage, energy density, fiber content, and how hedonic (hyper-palatable) the algorithm predicts they are.

After the consistently low-scoring McDonald's (no food even reaching a 50 score), it was interesting to see how much more balanced the Chick-fil-A menu is. I'm looking forward to seeing if Chipotle can outperform even this.

We ranked 65 different items from Chick-fil-A's menu. They're all available in the ~JoinHava app, but here are the most popular 15 items:
The Satiety scores are in an infographic, but spoiler alert …Gilled Chicken Nuggets score a satiating 72. Even regular Nuggets and Chicken Strips score over 50!

KeyTones, aka Kathy, posted a "Loves Hava" comment on her wonderful new Before/After photos for her 59th birthday. Still Maintaining her weight loss (half of previous weight) with ThePEDiet and HAVA. Story as of 2021, but she easily maintains her ideal body weight still for her birthday today. https://www.dietdoctor.com/higher-p...ike-gangbusters

I still prefer using the PE Diet with added nutrition information from Cronometer, but Dr Eenfeldt has a slick photo AI function that makes all the moving parts quite simple. DietDoctor's new approach is certainly worth the free trial. If you are happy with DietDoctor's LC/Keto that continues to be available.

Terrific new Hava interview with Dr Sean O'Mara. Not everything I would recommend but interesting about his having added Fermented Foods to his first low carb diet in 2009. Better to watch YouTube than listen to the podcast because he shows fascinating MRI views of visceral fat and results from LC diet. MRIs are still expensive around here, I agree with Dr Eenfeldt and Naiman that a free Waist to Height ratio works well. Most bioimpedance scales (about $20) show visceral fat based off study results with same gender, age, weight etc.

Huge news: The most innovative and simple-to-use nutrition app in the world, ~JoinHava, is now free.

Satiety looks like the future of weight loss and metabolic health. It's more flexible and potentially more effective than other approaches. And now, it's free to try.

We've wanted to do this for a long time, and we're all very happy to offer you free use of our app forever. Our free app includes everything you need to explore a satiety approach.

We still have a subscription for premium functionality: unlimited photo tracking, full use of all our recipes, etc. We do this to stay funded by the people. We do this to keep our long-time policy of showing no ads, selling no products, and taking no money from industry.

However, we have news here too. We used to have a 7-day free trial of our app. Now, we're not just adding a free basic tier.

For a limited time, we're also offering everyone the chance to try our premium tier for free for three whole months!

The website was overloaded yesterday when this offer was first announced. Works perfectly this morning. A few months ago I was frustrated by a complicated sign-up process, it asked too many questions…that is now gone. Easy to give it a free trial.

This is an opportunity to try out the newest and greatest food tracking technology. Snap a photo of your plate/meal and the Hava AI knows the ingredients, amounts, etc. and gives a score for Satiety Per Calorie. Protein, Carbs and Calories are still listed, so whatever diet you follow, it works.
If you "hate tracking" new technology has removed that barrier to success. The usual stunning Diet Doctor photos, recipes and graphics are awesome.

A 15 minute video with Dr. Ted Naiman. Breaking down the science of the Hava satiety score. The concept of satiety per calorie can be used with any diet plan. The four key satiety factors; protein percentage, fiber content, energy density, hedonics, are clearly explained. Toward the end, also why a Uni-Focal approach like low carb, may not work unless other satiety factors are managed.
https://youtu.be/v8zGBVTJvss?feature=shared

I still use the Optimising Nutrition Satiety Score because it gives me more control over more micronutrients important to me, but this is a great place to start and Hava certainly makes it easy with the updated snap a photo to track all ingredients in a dish. It makes me feel so high tech! food tracking is quick and easy!
