Had a good session with Kirk, although it was mainly arms and shoulder toning. Water was cooler than of late, so needed more activity to keep warm.

Booked in for next Tuesday. I hope that Lisa is back!

I also went on Friday, but no instructor turned up. Did about 20 minutes exercise in the pool and then got out.

Back to regular Monday afternoon and Friday morning aquafit sessions.

Today we had Deb as our instructor. A new face to me, but was very good. Had a really enjoyable session.

Thumbs up Gym on Wednesday

I've not really been to the gym since January, so when I visited it last Friday for a short walk on the treadmill I realised how unfit I had become, despite my aquafit sessions. I now aim to go every Wednesday morning.

This is what I did today:

Treadmill - 10 min at 3.5 kph
Two handed Push Downs - 2 sets of 20 at 20 kg
Pull Down forward left arm - 2 sets of 20 at 5 kg
Pull down forward right arm - 2 sets of 20 at 5 kg
Right hand side pull down - 2 set of 20 at 10 kg
Left hand side pull down - 2 sets of 20 at 5 kg
Upright rows - 1 sets of 20 at 10 kg
Rowing machine - 5 minutes at level 6
Felt OK afterwards.

What is good to see is that this equates to almost what I did in January, so now to get better.

Had a great session with Mandy who was back this week. It was so good to see her, but then she dropped the bombshell that next week would be her last. Really disappointed. I wonder who we will have now.

Spent 40 mins in the gym today, so pleased and improved on last week.

This is what I did today:

Treadmill - 10 min at 3.6 kph - Up 0.1 kph
Treadmill - 5 min at 3.6 kph, -5% gradient - New
Two handed Push Downs - 2 sets of 20 at 20 kg
Pull Down forward left arm - 1 set of 20 at 10 kg - Up 5kg
Pull Down forward left arm - 1 set of 10 at 10 kg - New
Pull down forward right arm - 1 sets of 20 at 10 kg -Up 5kg
Pull down forward right arm = 1 set of 10 at 10 kg - New
Right hand side pull down - 2 set of 20 at 10 kg
Left hand side pull down - 2 sets of 20 at 5 kg
Upright rows - 2 sets of 20 at 15 kg - Up 5kg
Abductor - 2 sets of 20 at 25 kg -New
Rowing machine - 5 minutes at level 7 - Up 1 level
Felt OK afterwards.

I found the walking quite tough going and this really made me sweat, however the rowing machine seemed much easier today and so I'll be able to do that for longer soon.

Felt OK afterwards.
