I am working at improving my Meatza effort, right now.

I'm all for the recipe forum. I have MasterCook and it presently contains a cookbook with Weight Watcher recipes which I would like to turn into LC cooking recipes. Starting a new cookbook with just low carb sounds great!!

Well, I haven't cooked regularly until I started LCing, so I probably can't contribute recipes, but I sure can try them out and rate them! Will it be categorized? I usually cook for myself only, sometimes for my boyfriend, so I need quick and easy, preferably 5 ingredients or less recipes (am I asking too much?)!

Since the only two LC recipes I've tried (deep dish pizza quiche, and LC cheesecake) are now staples in my house that I cannot live without... I'm all for it!!

I would definitely do more receiving than giving in the recipe department , but I'd be a regular visitor!

Would it be organized into main dishes, desserts, etc.??

Wanda and I are working on the organizational aspects of it, and we hope to have something ready soon!

No one will be required to submit recipes here! Please don't feel like you're being forced to come up with something to send in. What we are planning to do is put up a recipe every week and what we'd like folks to do is to make it, and tell everyone what you thought of it, how you'd vary it, and so forth. The comments and variants will be collected into a master Recipe of the Week file that will be available for download.

We hope to build a lot of lively discussion and enjoyment of LC food into a weekly round! Let's keep it fun, and keep it going!

Hi Donna:

At Karen's suggestion, Scott & I are looking at organizing the recipes in Monthly Themes. We haven't really worked out the details yet but should come out with some preliminary info soon.

I personally love all the variations you can find to a single recipe around this site. 365 ways to make one recipe.

Since it looks like there's lots of interest, stay tuned....

Wanda

I think this is a GREAT idea, I know I would much rather try something new that has been rated, some of these adventures in cooking can get to be spendy garbage Count me in

Whew ! All that cheering tired me out!

Please count me in too. I love trying new recipes (although I'm not crazy about eggs so I'll have to skip the weeks where the recipe is egg-based), and I have a few recipes of my own to share as well. This is a terrific idea!--Sarah

Smile thought

just a wish- as you organize this new forum i would love it if there were some way to get to the recipes ONLY, that is i would perfer that each thread have the recipe in full at the begining of it and threads were labeled as such- i.e. mock potato salad, mock potato salad ? on substitutions, mock potato salad, my favorite additions, etc. My frustration w/ using the current recipe section is that many threads i open are not recipes, just tips, ?'s , opinions etc. it makes it really difficult to do searches if i am looking for something to cook up fast. who else has wishes, thoughts on this? Perhaps it is also that i havent mastered the search engin yet Thanks for listening

Smile Just wondered ...

Is this going to happen? Have not heard anything about it recently, so wasn't sure whether or not it was actually going ahead, or if perhaps I had missed it.

Hi Demi:

Yep, it's going to happen. It looks like there's enough interest. This could be really fun.

I'm going to be away for 2 weeks starting Monday, but after Easter, I should be back in full swing to get things going on this. Scott & I have already been working out the details. There's just a couple things left to do.

Stay tuned for an update....
