Maybe, you should have your ears checked, too, when you go to the doctor. If you have an infection, even if there aren't other symptoms, it can affect your balance and you can feel dizzy. Are you hypoglycemic, or do you think you might be? That, too, can make you dizzy if your blood sugar is low.

staceysheil: I agree with rodmick, if you can get a glucometer to check your blood sugars. It may be low which could account for the dizzyness.

Jude: Puerto Vallarta is where we are planning on going. It will be the first out of country holiday we have had and we are leaving my son with grandma and grandpa so it should be fun. Lots of laying around and suntanning . It's an all inclusive and I hope it won't be too hard to stick to this woe. Mexican is not the lowest carb quisine.

Rodmick: Way to go with the loss!

I did get on the treadmill last night so so far I have only missed Monday night! better than I've done since Sept. Since then It was hit and miss. I will try and get the abb tape in today as well. Flat tummy for the holiday . There will be lots of skinny beautiful people there who will have no idea that I lost wt, just that I'm not skinny ;(. Oh well I feel great and my hubby is really proud of me. He calls me skinny lol.

Have a great day all!

My neighbor has diabetes so he could check my blood sugar but this is an ongoing thing all day long that doesnt go away, it just gets worse at night. My DH told me to eat me some candy and kinda got mad becaues I wouldnt. I told him I would if I knew for sure thats what it was but I didnt want to ruin my woe if I wasnt sure.

Stacey, If it's constant not occasional I WOULD CALL THE DR NOW! Talk to the nurse and ask if you should be seen. There are a few rare but serious things that can cause dizzyness! Get on that phone girl!!!!!!!

Staceysheil,

I went to the doctor last year with dizziness he told me it was vertigo. Awful stuff. The world just spins and spins. Laying down was the worst. I even would get sick to my stomach from it.

I found this definition in the web.

I had to go to the Dr. though , it was effecting ever aspect of my life.

Vertigo: Aside from being the name of a classic 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film (with Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak), vertigo is a feeling that you are dizzily turning around or that things are dizzily turning about you. Vertigo is usually due to a problem with the inner ear. Vertigo can also be caused by vision problems.

Hi to Everyone.

Hugs Tina

stacysheil:

lots of possibilities as to why this may be happening but a good reason to be checked out by your doctor. Keep us posted and get it checked out.

Zuleka! I know I will be eating MANY of those little cookies when they come in and I am afraid!!! I've been toying with the idea of switching to CAD...I could give it a trial run for a few weeks during that time maybe and eat them for dinner?! ha ha ha Salad, burgers and lots of cookies...geeesh! Nahhhh I dont know. I do know that I am weak around that type of thing...so weak it's scarey and no amount of time being on Atkins can cure me of that!!

Dr. said it was inner ear infection and the only thing to do for it is treat the dizziness. She said it usually lasts 10 days. She gave me medicine but I cant take it until I get back from my DD academic meet tonight. She said it puts you to sleep.

About girl scout cookies.... my daughter is a cadet and I didn't even look at the form. Knew I couldn't be faithful to lcing with them around. There are little voices in each box calling us to eat them.

Get this, the ladies classes at church started this morning so I volunteered to help in the 3-4 yr old room today. I walk in and started saying hello to the kids and this boy turns around and the first thing he says is "You're fat". Of course I went into my speech how God created us all different and he loves us all, tall, short, young, old, thin & fat. Next year at this time hopefully Timmy nor anyone else will need to remind me of my size. Looking forward to starting the TDC exercise challenge tomorrow. Hope all of you have a great day, Maureen.

Maureen,
My little boy tells me all the time why I dont try to not be fat. He says if I wasnt fat I wouldnt have to diet all the time. He is always asking me about foods and if I am allowed to eat it. Dont let it get you down. Remember the age group you are dealing with and more than likely he is used to seeing 100lb. weaklings walking around and they are more unhealthy than you are.

My aunt gave me a good recipe for a salad. It is called 7 layer salad. You layer the following and let it set over night then stir it up and eat. The only thing Im not sure of is the peas and onion so I am leaving them out and replacing with broccoli.
1. lettuce
2. cauliflower
3. peas
4. onion
5. mayonaiise
6. bacon
7. chedder cheese

chop up your veggies before you put them on except the lettuce. this is real good.
