HI there. I find pork rinds at Safeway. they are Old dutch brand, and are called Bacon puffs. Same thing as pork rinds. All that is in them is pork, lard and salt. Check out your local grocery store for Bacon Puffs!!

Thank you all for your replys!

...and don't feel bad for laughing..I also had a good chuckle when I read that pork rinds come from the potato chip section and not the butcher..lol..I'm not even all that dissapointed. They look wicked gross anyway! BUT, I will cook them, using the recipes everyone has been so kind to suggest. I would hate to waste my $1.89..

Thanks for the good old Canadian support. I have found Atkins a tad inconvienient, at times, due to lack of availability of ALOT of everyday products. I will chck out Safeway for Bacon Puffs. That even sounds familiar!

Thanks again!

Joy

I think what you've got there will produce something called pork cracklings instead of pork rinds, but they are still delicious. Try cutting them up and frying them just like you would bacon with some salt or other seasonings that sound good.

Default Thanks!

Yes, thanks for sharing that bit of culinary humor. It is hilarious

I imagine you could cook up those rinds yourself but I fear they would be too hard and tough to ever chew unless you know just how to fry them. I'll bet the butcher was laughing up his sleeve.

No offence intended but you must be a yankee!
Thanks again for the funny story.

And Good Luck with your weight loss
