Hi Vicky!

What I hope it's used for (since that's what I used it for) is to "bump" things to the top of the forum- in case there's an unanswered question, or if it's news that people have forgotten about....

in this case, I just want to know if anyone's heard whether or not the nutritional info is accurate...

Hope that helps!

The post directly above yours answered the question, giving the label info and also the results from the Hidden Carb calculator!

Generally, just asking the question in a post does the 'bumping', no need to say (or do) 'bumps' here...

Default Sorry!

Sorry- I guess I was thinking more along the lines of wondering if anyone had heard if what the company was printing on the box was right - I mean, if the calories or fat or protein aren't listed correctly, wouldn't that change the carbs?

Anyways, I guess if it's wrong, they'll have to change it, and I'll find out that way..

Sorry!

So the question is... re: cake roll, how many carbs per slice?

5 carbs per slice? Can you deduct the fiber of 2? NET Carbs 3?

Yes - they do contain sugar alcohols! Splenda is a sugar alcohol!

No, Splenda is not a sugar alcohol - it is sucralose. Perhaps you're thinking of sorbitol?

Use the Hidden Carb inspector to get the closest thing to a true 'net carb' count you will get, and it's objective, not as written from ANY product manufacturer. Plug the above nutrition numbers into it (see it over on the Quick Links section on your right?).

thanks jeanny!

For clearing up my confusion with sugar alcohols... so, sugar alcohols would be sorbital, malitol, etc...

Is splenda like aspartame without all the side effects?

There is a new low-carb store that just opened near me and carries some of these rolls. I tried the German chocolate - not exactly sure what makes it German chocolate, since it tasted like plain chocolate cake with a cream cheese filling... I thought the taste/texture was great, though I wonder too if the labeling isn't too good to be true.

I will probably grab one of these for the next family birthday party, we have a few people who are still suck on low-cal/low-fat and/or Weight Watchers, and they'd be able to eat this
