i don't love to cook either. to save time though what i typically do is make a dish, cut it into pieces, wrap each in foil and stick it in the fridge or freezer.

crustless quiche - makes many servings, wrap each in foil, take 1 serving to work and nuke it

turkey meatloaf - same thing for dinner

buy a rotisserie chicken and pull it apart and take the chicken and throw it on a salad

tysons roasted chicken breasts are really good

make a bunch of crabcakes, wrap each in foil and stick in freezer

throw a steak in the oven - quick and simple

hope this helps

Hi Sillyme,
I hate to cook too, although with a family I had to learn. I have lost 7lbs in the first week. Anything over 10 lbs seems to show. Anyway, why don't you stock up at the delli. Sliced ham, turkey, roast beef etc. Just don't get anything that has a batter or is deep fried. But you knew that didn't you? Canned salmon is good. I make it up ahead of time, that and egg salad. Mayo, onions and celery.....That way I always have something ready, and am not tempted to cheat when hunger strikes. I think I miss bread the most. There is also a ton of stuff in the freezer section of the grocery store. You'll find what you need there. Don't give up. You are doing really good. Think Bathing Suit!!!!!!Suzanne

Smile Hi Lisa K

Hey Lisa:

Crustless quiche??? I have to have that recipe. That sounds wonderful!!!

Also, you say you don't like to cook but for someone who doesn't like to cook you had some awesome ideas! I love the rotisserie chicken/salad idea. I always buy my rotisserie chickens at COSTCO. I've tried getting them from my local supermarket but they aren't as good as the ones I get from COSTCO.

I'll look forward to getting that quiche recipe from you!

Thanks.

Kim

I love the rotisserie chickens, too, and they make more
than one meal. Also, the brown and serve sausages
take about two minutes in the microwave--I have them
for breakfast often.

Thumbs up Breakfast Links

OMG, I've had those brown - n- serve sausages everyday this week!!! Even had them with eggs for dinner a couple of nights! hehehe. They're great tasting, especially the maple syrup flavor ones.

What I have problems with is breakfast. I've tried the Atkins Pancake Mix (yuck), so what else is there except for eggs? Any ideas?

Kim

Default Crustless quiche

very easy -

first mix together 6 eggs and 3-6 tb. cream, salt, pepper - (this makes the egg mixture)

first put a layer of shredded cheese on the bottom of glass pyrex dish (this makes the crust)

layer of cooked frozen spinach

layer of egg mixture

layer of spinach

layer of egg mixture

bake 15 min. at 425, then lower to 300 for 30 min.

cut into however many servings you want

yummy and easy!!
