I would encourage you to not just "reduce" your white sugar intake but ditch it all together. Really, you need to ditch grains, too, for the best weight loss. I'm breast-feeding as well and I follow this and I have lost all my weight in six months, you really want to take advantage of this time because breast-feeding will be helping you lose weight and once you stop you may find it a lot harder. My information is that every 100ml of breast milk you produce is about equivalent to 20 minutes jogging, so when you stop breast-feeding will your level of activity compensate for this? Mine probably won't so I am trying hard to get all the weight loss done now, and even beyond my goal if I can. I'm sure I've been in ketosis at times, I don't worry about it: I'm eating really nutritious food so baby will be benefitted by that. So go for it, but take advantage of this time for all its worth by chucking the sugar and flour products entirely. Good luck!
