I know this may sound crazy but are you on any medications. Some of those pills are sugar coated and as good as you are to yourself as to staying on the straight and narrow, you could still be intaking some sugar.

Also some psychiatric medications (this is not meant at all to be offensive or funny) do propagate cravings. In fact there's a whole class action lawsuit out for zyprexa for causing adult onset diabetes this way.

Just a thought....

When a sugar urge emerges, take 1-2 grams of L-glutamine, preferable with some heavy cream and just a touch of nonsugar sweetener. The immediate desire to eat something sweet will pass.
