I picked up some of the chocolate flavour today at Loblaws (Baseline & Woodroffe). It was expensive ($6.79) but definitely worth it for this ice cream freak. I like it!

I got some of the Breyers low-carb at the A&P. It's not bad for fake ice cream, but I think the secret is the air. The 1.89L tub felt so light compared to the same tub of the real mccoy.

Take a drive to Ogdensburg to the PRice Chopper. It's 2.99USD and you get 2.2L.

Flavors:
Chocoalte, Strawberry, Vanilla, Mint Chip, Butter Pecan, Rocky Road and another I can't remember.

That's a pretty awesome selection and size for the price. Unfortunately, I don't have a car or even drive, so I hope we get some of those flavours up here soon! Maybe the price will come down a bit if this low carb craze picks up some more. We're still way behind the States with product selection, price and availability.

Hi again

I should mention that I too had...*problems*... with the sugar alcohols in the Bryers. I tried it again, about 1/3 the original portion , and I put mixed berries on top. It was great this time! No problemos at all.

And I know the price at the local mart is outrageous, with products usually 20-50% higher than anywhere else, and there is always a lineup.

We're so damn lazy...
