Just checking in one more time before calling it a day. Today was much busier at work, and tomorrow begins yet another big project. It's finally starting to pick up.
I don't think I mentioned it, but I took last Friday afternoon off to do some retail therapy. We're going to Marco Island in Florida the end of April and I wanted to buy a new bathing suit. I have two that I've hardly worn, but they're both black and I wanted something a little more fun.
Part of me was dreading trying on suits, the other half was resigned to the fact that nothing was going to look amazing on me. That was probably a good thing, because trying on probably 15 suits didn't phase me at all. Two actually looked pretty darn good. And if I manage to defy all the odds and lose a few more pounds before we leave, they might even look better in 5 weeks when we go on our trip!
This Saturday promises another round of therapy. I was able to get the suits last week, plus a couple tops and a pair of slacks. I would really like to get some short skirts to wear out and about instead of shorts. Even if I lose a little more, everything will still fit. The slacks and skirts I'll buy a little snug, so they should be perfect by then.
And I started tanning today. Never done that before. They had a stand-up booth called the Cyclone. The maximum time you can be in is 8 minutes; she put me in for 4 minutes to start. There's a 20 mph fan that blows the whole time, keeping you cool. We'll see in the morning whether this was the right amount of time to start. She said if I'm just a touch pink, it's perfect. No color means I need to go in for longer, and lobster red means it's way too much time. I go again on Friday, and then 3 times a week until the trip.
That's it for now.
Oh, that's right. This is a low-carb board. I did really well eating-wise today. Haven't logged it in Fitday yet, but everything was well within bounds.
Toodles!
