Good for her! I think it's hard for people to believe how effective the Atkins diet is, so she is still skeptical of it. I remember thinking, how can I not eat all these carbs? I didn't think I could do it. And even if I did lose the weight, how could I go without eating lots of carbs FOREVER? Well, I can. Let her know that this diet changes your body chemistry and that after a while you don't crave things as much. Sure, when you see an ice cream sundae it looks like heaven but you get better and better at it so that you don't HAVE to have it anymore. It's just a treat every once in a while. I like this diet much better than weight watchers, I've tried both with my mom. My mom's cholesterol went up with WW and down with Atkins. Also, I eat the low carb nutrition bars all the time and I did during induction as well. I didn't have the endulge bars during induction though, which was good for me. I have them every so often now, maybe once a week or something. But the nutrition bars I eat all the time. At first I thought they were horrible but I have found other brands (not Atkins) of the bars that taste better. I love them now! My favorites are the Strive chocolate raspbery crisp bars and the Deluxe S'more flavor. Good luck with your sister in law. Keep us posted as to how she's doing!
