Hi IthinkIcan-

I just punched the numbers in at http://www.kfc.com and one Original Recipe Chicken Breast has 11 grams of carbs- this meshes with the nutritional info I got at the store when I had the chicken.

Now I only did this once- and ate zero carbs for the rest of the day, for a total of about 40 g carbs. This was a one time thing, because we all know that KFC is not the healthiest eating choice . It was just nice for a change.

If you were eating it every day or ate a whole 15 piece bucket you would have a problem!

For me it all comes down to lifestyle choices, my downfall is booze, I can give it up entirely and lose weight fast or I can lose slower on a WOL that is sustainable for me. Make choices that you can live with for the rest of your life without feeling deprived.

Great progress on the loss so far! I agree that everyone must do what works for them. If you're losing that is the most important thing. I also think it's extremely important to form habits that are forever and that don't tempt you back to the old ways. I limit my meals out much more now and try to have a meal I really enjoy but that sticks as close to my regular routine as possible. Try to stay in ketosis but don't let the carb level get too low either!
Congrats again on the progress...Ain't it GREAT!

everyone is different, some people can reap the benefits of staying low carb & having an occasional "treat" of eating out with things that can slow some other people down. I say, "more power to the ones that can do this". I myself have to walk the straight & narrow. But what is right for me, may not be right for you. Listen to your body, don't be obsessed with the scale. Measure & watch how your clothes feel. This is a wol, not a prison sentance. But if you feel these foods can make you slip back into old habits, stay clear. Everyone needs to evaluate & listen to their own bodies. We all have weight loss issues & we have come to far to let a few breaded items stand in our way of our ultimate goal.
