I feel horrified at the thought of what I used to eat- boxes of crackers, big bags of chips, 6 pieces of toast, ice cream, chocolate bars, pizza, rice, potatoes- and HUGE portions too.

I eat WAY healthier on this WOE- salad with some protein and I'm set for 5 hours, not getting hungry in 2 hours like with a carby meal. It's disgusting all of the sugary crap that people eat and I used to eat.

What strikes me as hilarious (and just an example of how idiotic we have become) is all the pure sugar candy (like Skittles, Fuzzy Peaches etc) that feature the label FAT FREE prominently on the bag

I was pleasantly suprised at the variety of sugar free things I can substitute for my kids.

They are not on this WOE but with the info I've learned since I have been on it I change subtle things for them, like switching to SF smuckers syrup for their waffles, drinking crystal light instead of Kool Aide or juice pouches and eating LeCarb icecream instead of the regular stuff.
I realize this is not much but every gram of sugar or carb they dont consume makes me feel better.

I'm waiting for UK to catch up with America with regards to LC food. No shops here stock it, not even health food shops. Finding acceptable foods in the supermarket is a real search. Agree with you about the amount of crap there is in the shops, and to think I used to buy and eat that stuff.
