Unhappy

I am really getting discouraged and know I must be getting too many carbs yet it doesn't seem like it. Total loss has been 14 pounds since July. I see people around me that drop weight like crazy and they eat more of everything than I do including carbs. In a few weeks, I also plan on implementing some exercises as well! Maybe that will get me going! I have to say that the forum does help me and gives me encouragement and I really can't see any other WOE or WOL but would like to see results. Thanks for listening.

Default Sugar Alcohol????

HI everyone,

I am doing a test.....I tested my ketones and they are in the moderate(dark pink area) and then i had 2 bites (half)of this dreamy carb safe/sugar free choclate mousse candy bar with nothing else to eat after that. I'm going to find out once and for all if it knocks me out of ketosis. If anyone has access to Trader Joes this bar is called "Carb Safe, Mousse pillow coffee" with Malitol and 0 effective carbs....it is awesome!

I will let you know how the ketones look after my next trip to the loo.

cheers
lisa

I also had some real side effects (very watery bowels and bloating) from Maltitol. Didnt realize what caused it until the second time I ate several pieces of Basken Robbins Sugar Free Candy. The first ingredient listed is Maltitol so I did some surfing to find that it sometimes causes these side effects. I stay away from that stuff.
