Doing way better today.....on my 4th (20 oz) water bottle...had bacon & eggs for breakfast...salmon and salad for lunch...and that urgent urge to eat anything that doesn't move seems to be under control for the moment. Planning dinner now......hmmm...maybe roast chicken and veggies? YUM!

Hey good for you thats more like it!!

Reading your sample day that was'nt a typical day was it? 3 desserts? Hope not.

My suggestion was also going to be add more solid protien like steak or chicken to your lunch and dinner.

Good Luck Kathy

No...it was NOT a typical day.....but TOM has arrived and I think I am beginning to see a pattern here. If I remember correctly the same thing happened last month!

About 2 days before TOM I seem to go into "feeding frenzy mode" where I have to keep eating. The challenge of course is to eat as low carb as possible without going crazy! The next day I am better...but very crabby!

Then about 48-72 hours later, TOM arrives and while bloated and showing a weight gain my eating is again under control.

This has happened for the last two months (on Atkins for around 2.5 months now)...so I will wait another month to "test" this theory. At least I will be better prepared if I can expect this to happen!

Thanks to everyone for their great suggestions and continued support. I am hoping to show a loss once this slight gain is gone!

This too shall pass! Hormonal shifts lead MOST of us into the "feeding frenzy" mode at that time. Hang on, stick with it, and things will get better!
