Default anyone want to join me on my pilates challenge??

Well, i'm doing a 5 week pilates challenge doing it 6 days a week for the 5 weeks. My intentions is to get the 30 sessions in to see if Mari Windsor is telling the truth about seeing results after 30 sessions.

Actually, I have seen great results in my body with pilates before, but due to the stress of college exams I stopped doing it. After about 2 weeks, I felt like there was an elastic band around my core and I definately saw my tummy (my only problem area since having kids) shrink and saw the faint line of a 4 pack on my stomache.

This workout plan may be too intense for some but is anyone else doing pilates on a regular basis?? If so, what are your results?? How long have you been doing it????

Thanks everyone
Tasha

Hi, I would love to join you with your challenge! I have been doing the CRUNCH Pilate workouts on and off for a while now. I really would love to get in six days a week of it. I am also in college and finding time to do my workouts is limited. I definately am in though. Six days a week, 45 minutes per session!

Hey Akasha,

I'm glad you are joining me, now i'll have company on my journey . We can check in here to report our accomplishments daily. Maybe others will join us later but i'm happy just to have someone along for the challenge!!

I ended up doing pilates in the morning 20 mins, then came home and did my 55 min tape (but when I fast forward all the extra talking it's about 45 mins!)

Thanks girl
Tasha

Hi!

I do a 'On the Ball Pilates' work out which is very fun, and alternate it with the beginer pilates tape with Mari. I've tried the full hour one and OMG did i feel silly, lol. The thing with the legs over your head?? well i was too busy laughing at myself to do it right, lol.

So, I've been doing it for gosh...two months? maybe more...3-4 days a week and I have noticed an awesome change in my legs/thighs. I can feel the muscle, and i love it!! My abs are still burried but can see some definition in my obliques!

Anywho, I'd love to join your challenge! Oh, don't forget to take measurements!!

Hey Rune 1990,

Thanks for joining and for the advice about measuring!! This way, if i don't lose weight, I can check my inch loss for acheivements!!!!! Pilates on a ball?? That must be hard.

LOL about the leg over the head thing. My kids always seem to walk in the room just when I'm doing this and laugh at me!!!!!! My 5 and 3 year old daughters try to do it with me. HILARIOUS!!!!!!

I will probably be posting a couple times a week. Today I went to the gym, so I might be too tired later to want to do my pilate tape tonight. Lol. I will try to force myself though. My mom might want to do the tape with me. It's more fun when you have a buddy

Welcome, everyone! I'm glad to see so many joining this little challenge.

I'd like to join - I have a pilates DVD that I've been trying to get motivated to use for months now!

I'm sick with the flu right now, but I will probably have the energy to do it sometime next week - I want to start with 20 mins./day - does that sound good? I'm pretty close to goal, and I really need to tone.

Am I too late to join you gals? I also have the Winsor Pilates DVD's and haven't been using them at all. I hope to walk for about 30 min and do the 20 minute workout directly afterwards. I struggle with the 20 minute workout, so the advanced one is over my head, but very soon I will be at that level, right? Good luck all!

Ok, just did my first workout for the challenge, and discovered something interesting... I didn't do them right the other times I tried! I've done the intro tape about 4 times, and the 20 minute workout 2 times, and I never felt like I got any sort of workout. This time I followed every word Mari said and wow, what a difference. Now I am super motivated! Hope you're doing well and talk to you tomorrow!

Hi guys! Just checking in.

I messed up horribly yesturday and had tons of bread and Chinease food. I gained three pounds from it. Getting back on track now. I know I can loose that extra 3 LBS in a day, so I'm trying to not let it get to me.

Pushing myself to excersize. Going to the gym tomarrow. *sigh* I still feel like I am not excersizing enough.
