Talking need a buddy who has 100 lbs to lose

Hi There!!

I am finally doing it, going to lose the weight this time. My husband is on Atkins with me, but he only had to lose 20 lbs and is about 3 lbs off from his goal, so I am looking for someone else to buddy up with for encouragment. I've lost 30 lbs so far, started at 325, am down to 295 ( as of this morning, yea!!!!)
So if you need some support to, let me know, we can help each other out.

Hi...I started off needing to lose 103 pounds! A little history is in my journal if you want to check it out. WTG on your weight loss so far! You're doing great and sound very motivated. I think it is important to have motivation and support and goodness knows we all can use some at some time or another!

Hey Tanya - you posted a reply to me in the newbie section (I think) and mention about a Friday weigh in. I would like to do that with you all...Think it would be a great motivator for the first while anyway....

Watching the scale go down has to be more fun than watching it go up!

Let me know?? Thanks!

Hi there, thanks for replying to my post, I wasn't sure how to email you or anything off the site so am answering this way.
I am pretty new to the site so navigating it is awkward!

Do you want to email each other or just contact through lowcarber?
Thanks:-)

Thumbs up Let's do it...

I think you have to post so many time before you can doing any private messaging. Lets get it going here then we can build up our posts and maybe others will share with us as well.

I still have to get myself weighed properly - no scale at home and just haven't had a second to get to the recreation centre to do it right. I just guessed at my starting weight....

Default Scales

Hi, if anyones intrested and needs a scale that goes over 350
accurate I bought mine about 3 yrs ago at Ample Stuff. Don't know if they have a website but you can do a search.
Plus even if you just need a real accurate one for 350 and under its great digital scale!
Not selling them or anything! Just thought someone might like the info. I will tell you mine cost I belive 400 bucks but I think it was worth it and 3 yrs late is still working great.

Smile thanks for the tip!

I was thinking about buying a set of good scales for my house. I have never owned scales before (for obvious reasons). In the past I have relied on the tape measure in previous go's.

Now that I think about it I might just rely on the scale at the gym as it is digital and quite reliable....

and save the money for NEW SMALLER CLOTHES!

Thumbs up I am in!

Hi!

I would love to be buddies with you guys. I think it is very important to have people who need to loose the same amount of weight...have others that know what you are feeling. I have 110 pounds to loose. I am new to the forum too and I would just like to say that just reading some of the threads here has given me the motivation not to fall off the wagon.

Lets Go!

Karen

I had 100 to lose when I first got started. I like these buddy/challenge groups because it makes you accountable especially if you are going to check in on a regular basis. I've been losing about 2 pounds a week which is good, but I'm so worried that it will slow down well before i get close to goal.

Hi fishy48,

I am losing about 2pds a week too. I did plateau for awhile but I am losing again. I figured out when I start plateauing I carb up for 2 days then I do a strict induction, and it seems to start moving things for me again. AND drinking a lot of water helps tremendously.

Thumbs up Count me in

Count me in too

I too have about 100# to loose, I thought I weighed 240#
when I started, then I bought a scale, and I'm down to 245,
and that's after loosing about 15# .So 100# loss would git
this body to 145. I'v bin loosing slowly, but am determined
to stay on the course.
I am a little older than some others, (61 as of May) . All the
moore reason to git the weight off. I want better health
as i will be thinking of retiring in a yeay or so.
I live in Nebraska now, but was born and raised in Penna.
I'm really sold on the Atkins Plan. It's the best diet plan,
or should I say, way of life . and i'v tried just about all
the others, Lost and gained etc.
I'l be checking in with you all from time to time and
cheering you all on. Bart
