I finally today got " the book" as it is confusing, it also helped me see where I really made amess out of things, yesterday I had cooked spinich twice, cooked about 1 cup for the day, the book says measure raw! do you know how much 1 cup raw spinich turnes into when cooked? I would guess 1 teaspoon well there I messed up, I also had some cooked cauliflower at dinner too, about 1 cup cooked I was doing so well to start with, guess I will put my nose to the book some more, sugerfree jello is ok? yea?

Aspertame is not recommended for several reasons. The most salient is that it causes cravings - severe ones for me, personally.

Well if you're going to go over on your carbs, too many veggies is pretty benign, don't kick yourself. You should check out the threads on aspertame, they have links to some articles that might make you stop eating it altogether. Apparently it can cause water retention, but there are some other issues with it too.

Hi ijbsgirl:

In my program, 1 cup of cooked spinach is 6.75 grams of carbs, of which 4.32 is fiber = net 2.43 grams of carbs. Never make the mistake of thinking that veggies are the source of weight gain.

Congrats on getting the book.
