Default Am I out to Lunch????

Hi all,

so I went to FitDay.com and put in the foods that I have eaten today ( and it is only lunch time ) and it says I have eaten 23 Carbs. ( I am on Induction still) I nearly died when I saw that. Can anyone see if I am out to lunch or not???? This is what I have eaten:

2 eggs (fried) - breakfast
2 cups coffee, with 2tlbs cream (not half and half)

3 cups salad - lunch
2" slice of cucumber
1 large chicken breast baked no skin
2 hard boiled eggs
2 tbsp bacon bits
2 tbsp ranch dressing

That is it, is it the dressing that is killing me? Can anyone shed some light for me.

Thanks,

Stingeyes

Go to the top of the page and subtract fiber from carbs.

The only minor problem I see is the bacon bits - I noticed they have a few carbs a serving so I just make my own bacon bits instead of the store bought ones to save a few carbs.

Otherwise, it looks fine. I wouldn't worry too much about going a little over 20 as long as you try to follow the other guidelines as much as possible.

Have you checked all the amounts per item on Fitday?? They have some FREAKY defaults (like 1 cup of mayonaise instead of a tablespoon).

Can you see how many carbs is in each item? You can click on the item and it pulls up the nutrition label.

That really does seem high unless it is your dressing - was it your own bottled dressing? If so, how many carbs? What kind of dressing?

Remember, FitDay does not automatically subtract fiber frim the total carb count. Also, scan your list of foods for the day and check the quantity or serving size. FitDay would always throw in my olive oil and vinegar dressing automatically as ONE LITER! I always have to go in and change it to 2 tablespoons. Do you know what one liter of salad dressing does to all the daily counts?
Good luck LCing!

Default ALAS!!!!

thanks you guys, this is wonderful,

I forgot to take the fibre off of the total.

BROUGHT ME RIGHT DOWN TO 13 - instead of being over and not even eating dinner yet.

Thank goodness.

Thanks for all the advice.

Stine
