Default Flax Meal

I just bought some flax meal today. I tried a little bit today mixed with hot water. Hmm... it was very tasteless. I added some cinnamon, but it didnt help much. What do you suggest I do with it? Should I add it to yogurt? Would flax seeds be better if I were adding it to things? I was thinking that I should get more fiber, so this would help. I am very strict about calories. I like ot keep them aorund 1500, so it scares me to be adding things.

Heavy cream and vanilla, little splenda. Maybe a little splenda maple syrup.

How much do you make at a time? A bowl? How much water and flax would that be?

Try adding a Tbs of ground toasted pumpkin seeds or ground toasted hazelnuts to a 1/4 cup flaxseed meal. A small pat of butter and a bare sprinkle of Splenda on this combo are delicious.

There's a flax recipe on the recipe board. I think it's 1/2 cup ground flax to 1 cup boiling water. I found about 1/2 of that to be enough for one setting. I just add a bit of cream and sweetner until I like it. Must eat immediately or it gets gooey.
