Default what others think

My hubby has demensia. I have a "friend" who always reminds me that we marry in sickness and in health. It irritates me to no end. I think that somewhere inside there is still a part of me that is concerned about what others will think about me.
We have to go to the dr ofc today to have him sign a paper so they can get old records to see if he was diagnosed b4. He has had one new pill last night and today he is talking about smacking this lady upside the head. Works in the ofc. Now chances are he won't do it but I get to hear all of the insanity and others think he is fine. It pulls me down because this is only going to get worse not better but I am determined to loose the weight that I have gained since marriage. He is putting us in financial ruin and without legal papers not much I can do- I bet no one else's hubby has drilled holes in the floor of a leased car to let the car mats dry.
Oh well, at least low carbing is working well for my physical health.
Jan

Default ahhh

Survived today, no one got hit and care centre called to talk to me -they want to do an in-home assesment. So things feel pretty good and I don't feel so alone.
Even managed to stay on my low carb way of eating
TY God-for everything. Mostly for sending me help when I was feeling so low.

I couldn't rightfully say Iknow what you are going through - but I can say that you are touch cookie (LC cookie!) and you will come through this a better and more centered person. Stick to your beliefs and your WOE . the rest will try and take care of itself.

Dear Janny

I just wanted to let you know - that there are people here who care. Just remember to keep in touch regularly - have you started a journal? I know this helps me not only with my weight, but with my mental state too.

Incidently - this so called friend of yours, does'nt sound like much of a friend. She should just be there and listen - thats what friends are for. I know that there are lots of people like this here.

Take care and lots of hugs.

Default Hello

I understand how frustrating your situation must be. Not that it is exactlly the same but my son is autistic and a real handful a lot of the time. I have no childcare and no break. People at work say oh he's not that bad you can hardly tell he's different....Well I don't hear any of them volunteering to watch him for a bit so I can get a break...even when they knew I was stressed, depressed and desperate.

Good news however I think he has been approved for Respite care 30 hours a month so maybe i will get a break if this works out...well i will keep you in my thoughts. i work with a lot of people with dementia and organic brain syndromn and I know what a chalange you are going through
