Okay I read the atkins book but I guess I didnt fully understand it. I was told by some friends that I could have peanutbutter reddi whip and nuts. Guess this is not true.Right? I am not losing so I am going to start on Monday with the induction. Any advice or help. Since I have tried to do induction before but didnt do it right will it be harder for me to lose? THank you so much for all your help. I feel so stupid this seems so easy for everyone to get but I am ahving a hard time understanding it all. Like can we have diet soda sf jello? If it says 0 carbs is it what is net carbs?

thank you

Betsy,

I found that for the first weeks it is better to stay away from the SF products as much as possible,

all these legal cheats are not addressing the sugar connection we have formed both physically and psychologically,

yes you do need to be strict when it comes to prepared anything,

try to keep it simple,

if time constrained make multiples of chicken etc, roasts, hard boiled eggs,

concentrate on eating legal stuff in its simplist form,

leave off the dessert recipes until after a successful induction

your body needs time to adjust to this WOE,

julienne

Angry Mistakes I made on induction...

Although I have lost 13.5 lbs in 12 days, I have a lot to lose and this is my first time doing Atkins. I thought I knew Induction, but after reading Atkins book, the chapter on Induction, I was doing wrong things. Here is my list:

Didn't count carbs in eggs 0.5 each

Used Reddi Whip as whipped cream, it contains sugar & corn syrup, label says less than 1 gram sugar but it is there.

Ate almonds, no nuts on Induction. Don't know where I got this from.

Ate too many sweet onions

Used Half & Half in my coffee instead of real cream

Didn't count my 4 1oz cheese allowances per day. Thought most cheese was 0 carb.

Ate too much whipped cream cheese & pork rinds.

Didn't drink enough water.

Hi...

Just my opinon but I really think a clean induction is the best way to start this WOE. Start with these induction allowed foods for the first two weeks to clean out your body and clear out your cravings then you can try to add some things and see how your body reacts.
