Cool I can feel the success

I am really excited about this website...it seems that I am on her all the time; first thing in the morning, lunch time at work and now after work.

I am very excited to find so many wonderful things on this site. I am sad to say that I more than qualify for the triple digit club. I thought I would never be this heavy. I have been heavy most of my life. Many of the people in my family are heavy too. So many of my habits are well engraved.

I have come to terms with the fact that I am a major carb addict. I feel much better when I don't eat alot of carbs. Certain carbs are o.k...others make me crave. I know that this has to be a life change for me if I am EVER going to be close to a "normal" size. I just don't want to wear plus size clothes anymore. More than anything I want my low back to not hurt so bad. I also have three children and I am really held back from doing things with them because I am embarassed of my size. I don't think I am gross but I am not an acceptable size.

I am hoping to find a huge support group here...and to provide support for others....

Welcome watchmenow!!

Sounds like you've made a great start! It also helps me to have someplace to come & get support.

I have 3 kids too & they're definately not used to me being on the computer. But they'd better get used to it because I'm here to stay!

Welcome Watchmenow !

You are off to a great start! I also love this site, never spent a whole lot of time on the computer, but now I, too, check in here everymorning when I am getting ready for work (3:30 am!), as soon as I get home, sometime during the evening, etc. It is a great support and nice to know that we are all in the same boat.

I have found many wonderful tips on this site, recipes, etc. Check out some people's journals. They are interesting and inspiring.

Nice to meet you!

Hi and Welcome! Remember that this is a take one day at a time kind of thing. I've made many mistakes and keep learning new things everyday. Don't frustrate yourself with the cooking, I cook the same thing for everyone here, whatever meat we're having, a vegetable, and then throw in some kind of starch for the rest, like pasta or rice or potatoes. I certainly don't have time to be cooking 2 different meals here! It really hasn't been that much of a cooking change for me, and funny thing is....now the kids seem to be eating more veggies! Go figure! Keep posting and searching the threads. Lots of excellent information around!

Hi watchmenow

I am happy you have found us. This really is a SUPER site to be on. I also try to get here at least twice a day.

This is my first time doing LC. Best of all it works. I am still exploring this site. There is so much to learn.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello there,

Just wanted to say welcome. This site has been great for me......I would have never thought that a website would provide the support that I needed to keep me motivated. But you'll find that the people you talk with become friends overtime and they are always there, cheering on your success, and helping through the tough times. Stop by my journal and take a look...we have very similiar weights. Good luck to you.

Hi and welcome!

I live fairly close to you.... in Southwest Washington. It is so gorgeous here. I just started with this site as well and I know that low carb works for me.... I just need to get my head back in the right place and dig in to the WOL again.

The people here seem very enthusiastic and ready to lend support, so I think you have come to the right place.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your posts

Welcome and Hi watchmenow! This is a great support site.
I find myself coming here and browsing about twice a day. It keeps me motivated, by reading everyones struggles and triumphs. Knowing they're going through the exact same thing. You'll love it here! I do.

Ah yes, I can seriously relate to this ... won't it be wonderful when we can hop out of bed without doubling over and hanging on to the nightstand?

Welcome to TDC!
