Anyone want to make a mini goal/challenge? I would like to get down to 220 by July 4th. I need to lose 20 lbs by then to do this and am very motivated. Anyone else have a goal they would like to set for this date? I think it is roughly 11 weeks from now. I know that is a hefty goal, but hey...I can try, right?

Hey earthlyone,
I'd like to lose about 20-30 by July 4th too. Maybe we could keep eachother motivated and updated on how we're doing. I think it'd be helpful Hope to hear from you soon. Best of luck to you, Amanda

Hi
May I join in with you? I'd love to be 20 pounds lighter by the 4th of July.

220 was also what I had planned. But, it looks more like I may actually make 210. I will therefore, set my goal at 215, which is one of my most important goals. 215 would not only represent a loss of 100 pounds, but also would take me below 30 BMI...meaning I'd no longer be classified as "Obese."

mum2four, of course you can! This'll be fun! Good luck to you too! Do any of you plan on starting to exercise, if you haven't already? I'm going to start doing cardio hopefully at least 3 days a week and I've been lifting weights and intend to stick with that. I'd also like to start running. I don't know but I'd like to hear about you guys too! I'm excited about this

I'm in! I just went and figured my BMI. It will take 15 pounds to get me out of the Obese range so I'm setting my goal at 155 by July 4. That would also cover my mini goal of being at my pre-pregnancy weight (the baby is now 17!) Exercise, here I come!

That is great that some of you will no longer be obese. Losing 20 lbs will take me from Severly Obese to Obese. It is a step in the right direction!

I have been trying to walk 30 minutes every day and then do fun outdoor activities on the weekends.

I did find a good website for running though. I have medical conditions that may prevent me from running. However, I am considering trying it to see how it goes.

I would like to join in on your challenge also. My goal will be 180 by July 4th. Should be able to reach it, as that was my pre-pregnancy weight and it has only been 2 months since baby was born. It's the other 30 pounds that I've had on for years that may be a little more difficult to drop

Good luck to all of you...

Jessica

Default July 4th Challenge!

Count me in too!

My goal is to lose 15 pounds by then, which would bring me within about 10 pounds of my goal - a weight I haven't seen in years!

This will be especially challenging, as I have just had foot surgery, and am extremely limited in terms of exercise options.

Good luck to all!

I would like to lose at least 19 lbs by July 4. That would take me to the weight I was at 2 years ago when I attempted Atkins the first time for 8 weeks and only lost 3 lbs. I was eating unlimited cheese and diet soda by the gallon over the summer. Didn't have the great support and education network like all of you guys back then. That's my first goal this time, to begin again, but this time its forever.

Add me! I would like to be at 190 by July 4. That's 20 lbs. (+-) and seems like a lot to lose in a short time frame, but then again, I've already lost more than 20 in about 7 weeks, so it may be doable. I will be happy with 15...lol. Just want to get below the 200 mark as quickly as possible Still can't believe I ever went over it!
