Hi

I am on Prempro and have been for 11 years. I started on Atkins on January 10, 2003 and have lost 20 pounds and a total of 20.25 inches. I experienced a slow down and am now doing Induction again. Being on HRT isn't going to STOP your weight loss but for ME I believe it has slowed me down perhaps and if your friend has been yo yo dieting that will slow you down also. Lots of things play into this...some people lose faster than others. The point is not to get discouraged and adopt this WOE (way of eating) for life and be patient. It will eventually come off. Losing slowly is FAR BETTER than losing fast. If you use Atkins just for a quick fix and go back to eating the way you were you are doomed to regain all the weight again.

Hi there! I am new to this forum also but have been LCing for a long time. When I first started I was 139 and lost 7 lbs in the first two weeks. Everything was looking good then went on hrt (premarin and provera). The weight loss stalled and has crept up to 143 over almost two years. Seems to have levelled off at 143 even though I have been doing my best not to cheat. I tried going off the hrt but the menopause symptoms were too much for me. I am hoping someone on this forum can give me some advise, ie: egg fast, sweetners, etc. I believe in this woe but it does seem to be an individual plan for each person. Good luck to you and hang in there.
