Default Heavy cream question

What type of Heavy Cream do you buy? The only kinds I can seem to find have 5g carbs per 2 tablespoons. Please help!!!

Thanks,
Cher

I find it next to the milk, its in small carton (like school kids get), and the brand here is Blue Bunny.

There are a lot of names for the heavy cream. Here are some that I know:

whipping cream (comes in a carton or bottle beside the milk section.)
35% cream - refers to the butter fat content.

It is the stuff that you can whip with a beater and it will become thicker and form peaks.

It has 6.6 grams of carbs per cup.

The next best is "table cream" with about 18% butter fat.

Don't buy the stuff in aerosol cans (brands like Reddi-whip) which have sugar added & are much higher in carbs. I wonder if that is what you are using, because the carb count is so high?

Hope this helps.

Default I had bought...

What I had been buying was called Heavy Cream and came in a tall skinny carton. I stopped buying it once I read somewhere that the carb content should be ALOT lower!! So, I've been doing without it, and would like to have some, but want the LOW carb kind!
The brand was Bryne dairy...I guess I'll be looking around...

I think you live in my neck of the woods... I get upstate farms "Heavy Cream" (Same type of carton) 1g carb. Has only one ingredient listed for ingredients: 100% pasterized Grade A Cream.

I buy mine at Trader Joe's...it's their store brand and it doesn't have any sugar added like some brands do. It also comes from cows that haven't been given added hormones, so I like that, too. On top of that, it's the cheapest that I've found cream around here - $1.67 per pint.
