I know my original goal weight was 125 pounds, but after a while I tried to think back at when I had ever weighed 125 pounds.
I cannot remember such a time, though I had to pass that by at one point in my life...so I decided to shoot for 145 since I can remember that and I know I looked nice at that weight. I figure that I can always set another goal after achieving the current one.
So without going "over the top", maybe set mini goals, say 5-10 pounds and re-assess when you achieve them?
