Default Dealing with relatives

It certainly is a pain listening to all the naysayers, those "knee-jerk" reactions are so infuriating! I must admit I'm somewhat of a wimp in this area though--only my immediate family knows about my LC eating. I just don't want to deal with all of my well meaning relatives and friends, most of whom are quite overweight themselves.

So, do you all let your relatives know about your eating habits?

Smile Absolutely!

Anyone who asks, I've told them what I'm doing and I let the results speak for themselves.

Quite a few people at work have noticed my weight loss and ask how I've done it. Once I've explained some people do have a negative reaction and I just tell them that I feel the best I have in a long time, not getting tired in the afternoons like I used to and it's working.

What it comes down to for me is that it actually is working and everyone has there own opinion and if they haven't tried it and are negative to me I don't take much notice because they are basing their opinion on something they've heard but not actually experienced. I don't try to convert people I just let them know why it's good for me.

Good luck

I don't think you have to announce to everyone how you are eating. Why should they care what you are eating. But if asked, then I would tell them that I was LCing.

Some people are just too nosy..especially relatives.
