Hi Arlene!

Went out and walked for about 30 min - I sat on the sunset wall for quite awhile watching the evening tide come in. Walked to the Sheraton - the bar was full so I walked out to the sand, sat for awhile and headed back to my villa. Beautiful night.
**total for today - 1 hr and 30 min.

Up early and walked 40 min today - I kept to the walkways by the beach instead of going in the sand/water because it was raining - and high tide (confirmed!) was looking wilder than ususal...Have to respect the power and danger of the ocean.... I didn't care that it was raining - it's Hawaiian rain!
** evening - walked 10 to the seawall, sat there for awhile enjoying the ocean and stars - and walked 10 min back. Total today = 60 min.

My usual early walk - I did sleep another 20 min but that's ok...walked 1 hour this AM - today I was able to go a little farther along the beach - the tide must have been receding a bit. I also pretty much stayed in the water so it took longer to walk. I keep looking but don't see dolphins. They said if I go out in a catamaran I'll see them. I did see them last time I was here that way. **no walk tonight - dinner with a personal chef (fantastic experience and food) - very full and it's late so - walking resumes tomorrow!

Up early for my much anticipated beach walk - 1 hr and 15 min. Was able to go around the bend all the way to the rocks this time. It was a little later than I usually get out the door and there were more early risers today. I also did the entire sunset wall walk... came back and showered, put myself back together and went out to find the Starbucks. I decided what I wanted for myself was a HI SB mug..I got a travel mug only available here with the logo and the Hawaiian Island chain on it... very pretty. That walk was 25 min. I bought myself a Koloa Landing baseball hat - sun was up and needed it. Total this AM - 1 hr and 40 min. Plan on walking tonight too.
**walked out to watch the sunset at the sea wall - then walked to the center where Puka Dog was for take out. Total walk time today was 2 hrs and 20 min. I'm tired!

Up early to do my last beach walk - 50 min today...needed to get back to pack out of here... I got lucky - my flight doesn't leave til 11 tonight and I will take the rental car back at 5:30 - needed a cool place to be...they let me stay in the room til 5:30 tonight since no one is coming in today for it.
I really lucked out.

So I made my goal for the 2 hrs a week exercise challenge:

Mon: walking (including beach walk daily) 1 hr 10 min
Tues: walking 1 hr 30 min
Wed: walking 1 hr
Thur: walking 1 hr
Fri: walking 2 hrs and 20 min
Sat: walking 50 min

It got late - didnt record this yesterday. Found that yoga CDs are free here at the house on Amazon - so I did 40 min of modified yoga -I'll have to see exactly which one I did...focus was on back pain and stretching I think. I was surprised at being able to do some of the kneeling and sitting crosslegged! Shaky but hey, gotta start somewhere! **Yoga Therapy for Back Pain and Stress Relief with Kanta Barrios.

I did 40 min of yoga today - of course had to modify a little - my body just won't bend in certain ways yet...it feels good though afterward. Maya Fiennes Kundalini Yoga: A Journey Thru the Chakras...today's was the root chakra - I really liked it. For the most part I was able to do it.

Turkey day! I chose to walk next door to take care of things and had an extra trip in there because I forgot the mixer so in all there was 30 min of walking today. **I should clarify: it only takes 5 min to walk there and back -I had to go 4 times...in case it isn't actually 5 min I didn't count the last trip.

I was so sore from that yoga (yoga is a workout!!) and so exhausted from OT at work I haven't done any more exercise til today. Need to do something tomorrow to make my goal this week.

30 min on the treadmill - finished watching Girl Rising and started romantic comedy written, directed and starring Josh Radnor from How I Met Your Mother - love Netflix. Makes treadmilling much easier.

30 min on the treadmill. I really should count a 10 min walk - I was waiting for my truck's transmission fluids to be changed - they said it would be about an hour so I walked a bit around the plaza and back, so today would be 40 min exercise.
