Remember that Atkins 1972 that you have is quite a bit different to his 2002 version (DANDR) which histhread is about.

In DANDR induction is for 2 weeks (not the one week in '72 DADR)

Also in DANDR he then lists steps of the carbohydrate rung with the order in which to add different foods in 5 net carb amounts instead of just adding 5 carbs of any food you have been missing after week 1 as suggested in DADR.

Also in DADR Dr Atkins expected you to count total carbs, not carbs minus fibre as he did in his later books.

what i would like to do is follow the a72 then move to the 2002 when i am maintaining. if thats possible.
