Question snacks and meals

Hi!
I am going to try sugar busters. I need more variety to my diet than Atkin's has to offer. I have the SB book, but would like some sample meals and snacks from every one. Thanks.
Angie

For snacks, I eat triscuits, Ak Mak crackers, raw veggies and dip, fruit, and occasionally nuts, or 70% cocoa solid chocolate.

For breakfast, I usually eat two organic eggs, a piece of whole wheat toast, or I may just have bacon and eggs, and leave off the toast. Some days, for variety, I will have oatmeal, or shredded wheat. I make my own granola and I like it with plain yogurt.

For lunch, I often have a Shelton's chicken pot pie, which is totally SB legal! Somedays, I have a sandwich, like turkey, or roast beef, or even peanut butter and polaner all fruit jelly. I sometimes make a bulghur/bean salad. (green salad with bulghur wheat and beans in it)

For dinner, we almost always have a meat, and two vegetables. I rarely make any kind of starch for dinner.

I keep track of what I eat, and I usually am in the 1400 to 1600 range on calories. I stick to two or three starchy carbs a day.

Does this help? If you want more details, I will be happy to help you!

Javamama,
I'd say my meals are pretty close to Monet's (Except for Shelton's Chicken Pie...Wow, that is a find!). I would just like to add my 2 cents.

I sound like a commercial here, but I snack on Blue Diamond Smokehouse almonds. They are only 2 Net carbs and 1 gram of sugar per serving (28 almonds). Got a niece hickory flavor to them. They are filling. Still need to go easy on them because they are still high in calories, though.

Good luck!

AKMAKs are the best! They are very versatile, as they go with almost anything. Wasa crispbread are also good and come in several varieties. I eat a higher fat diet than SB recommends; but it works. I also drink grapefruit juice for a snack. I often mix it with Diet V8 Splash and add some Seltzer for a very refreshing drink. I eat veggies and dip as well.

I don't count calories/carbs; but I avoid the foods that are not recommended. I also buy Nature's Own low carb bread so I can have sandwiches.
