Default Induction

Hello to all.
I am ready to start LCing tomorrow. I've printed off my grocery list from the induction page, and am very excited!
I would like to address a question regarding the induction phase. How long should one be on this phase? Just wondering, and looking forward to any and all input.
Thanks,
mj

Smile Hello

Going straight from Atkins' book, you're supposed to stay on induction for 2 weeks. That would be your best bet.

If you stayed on it longer I dont think it would HURT you (although some claim it stalls weight-loss), but theres no benefits to staying on it longer than two weeks either.

Hope that helped!

See ya,
Michelle

In the new Atkins book he recomends staying on Induction for those looking for quicker results, as induction does provide the best results.

I have been on Atkins now for about 2 months and honestly my carb count varies daily. I might go 4 days under 20 carbs and then hit a 60 carb day.

Mary Jane,

I stayed 4 weeks because after initial 2 days of withdrawal symptoms I felt just great. I didn't miss anything, had no cravings and didn't even bother watching my husband eating cakes...this really works, believe me.
Also it was easy to eat those 20 gr carbs every day, show myself that I'm in control, that I can do it!
Now, while I'm allowed to eat more carbs I still stay around 25-35 gr per day.

Hope it will work for you, don't forget to drink lots of water...I did some days and stalled...

Good luck!

Alina
